BIOSPHERE COMMITTED ENTITY

In 2011, Barcelona was the first city in the world to be awarded with the Biosphere recognition, granted by the Institute of Responsible Tourism (IRT), an independent body promoted by UNESCO, and recognized by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

We, ECIS (European Conference and Incentive Services S.L.) are happy to announce that we have committed to Sustainable Tourism. We are already in the process to receive the Biosphere recognition but we first need to meet some requirements.

This means that we will be working to adapt our services to satisfy a new model of sustainable tourism because we care for our environment and because we think it is everybody’s responsibility to create consciousness of a better tourism for a better future.
